I Do! I Do!

One of the best plays I've seen this year. The staging, the music, the actors were simply brilliant. The director deserves kudos for the updated picture of modern marriage in the 21st century. Throughout the performance, I was fully engaged and charmed. Wonderful experience.

It is a wonderful show. You will enjoy this new spin on a classic musical about love and marriage. BRAVO!!!!!

Do go see this updated take!

… this gentle musical, with its sentimental, unassuming music, stops being a look back and becomes a dreamy voyage through a universal and very human experience.

tight direction from Marshall
- The Beacon

Marshall’s strongly realized concept succeeds in mining the universality of marriage.

Does the concept work? In short: yes.

Marshall uses his expanded cast like a Rubik’s Cube, clicking effortlessly from one permutation to the other throughout the two-hour condensation of a 50-year alliance.

- DC Theatre Scene

toe-tapping, laugh-out-loud production

a must-see for anyone who wants to celebrate marriage in all its forms
- Arlington Connection

Director Jack Marshall has reimagined the two-character musical I Do! I Do! for American Century Theater in Arlington, Virginia, in a way both surprising and natural
